Let's Give Them Something to Write About offers ideas about incorporating pre- and post- trip journaling into your classroom to help keep the magic of Camp McDowell going even after you've left!
Join us for a three day, two night experience learning about local rocks and fossils. We'll be unveiling a new locally-relevant curriculum unit, aligned with AL, TN, GA, and MS science standards and Next Generation Science Standards, that you'll be able to implement in your classroom right away. AMSTI credits are available.

Join us on a Legacy workshop that takes educators from the mountains of Alabama all the way to the Gulf of Mexico to better understand the relationships between the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere. We'll float down rivers in search of native plants, study our rivers and connect them to Alabama's uniquely high biodiversity, and understand the role geology has played in making us the amazing natural resource that we know Alabama to be. Scientists will join us along the way to share their passion and field expertise!
